Eligibility for SI Posts

Physical Standards

Selection Process
Selection for Bihar Police SI Recruitment will be in three stages.
Preliminary Examination (Prelims)
- Candidates will first appear for the Prelims Exam. The Preliminary Examination will consist of a total of 100 multiple-choice questions, with 2 marks awarded for each correct answer. The total marks will be 200. The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
- The Preliminary Examination will include questions related to general knowledge and current affairs. Candidates who secure a minimum of 30 percent marks will be considered qualified for the Main Examination.
Main Examination (Mains)
Candidates who qualify in the Preliminary Examination will appear for the Main Examination. The Mains Exam will test written questions and analytical abilities. Successful candidates will be selected for the final stage.
Physical Test (PET/PST)
Candidates who successfully clear the Main Examination will undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) in the final stage. This will involve checking candidates' running, long jump, height, and weight.
