A bizarre case has come to light in Masaurhi, Bihar, where a residence certificate has been issued in the name of a dog. As soon as this matter came to light, it stirred up the political arena of the state. Opposition leader Tejashwi Yadav bly attacked the Nitish government over this and raised serious questions about the law and order situation in the state.
Tejashwi Yadav said that this incident is an example of how the administration is functioning in the state. He alleged that criminals in Bihar have now received the status of 'Vijay' and 'Samrat,' while law and order has completely transformed into 'criminal disorder.' He also stated that no government document is made here without a bribe, and sarcastically said that perhaps 'Dog Babu' must have offered something.
Targeting Law and Order and Corruption
While interacting with journalists in Araria, Tejashwi also questioned the process of special intensive revision of the voter list and said that looking at its quality, one can guess that the use of the word 'intensive' is just a formality. Expressing concern over the increasing crime in the state, he said that rapes are happening in ambulances, murders are taking place by breaking into hospitals and shops, but the government remains unaware.
Tejashwi Yadav described Nitish Kumar's government as being in a 'comatose state' and said that in the double-engine government, one engine is engaged in corruption while the other is promoting crime. Citing the CAG report, he alleged that a scam of about 71 thousand crore rupees has taken place in the state, but the government is sitting silently on it. He questioned the Chief Minister and both Deputy Chief Ministers as to why they are not responding to this scam.
Allegations of Forgery in Age and Degree against Samrat Choudhary
Tejashwi Yadav also lashed out at Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. He alleged that Samrat Choudhary has tampered with his birth certificate. Tejashwi sarcastically said that in 2005, his age was 26 years, which became 28 years in 2010, and by 2020, he suddenly became 51 years old. He said that he is perhaps the first person whose age sometimes decreases and sometimes increases.
Along with this, Tejashwi also termed Samrat Choudhary's educational documents as fake. He said that those who themselves commit forgery are the ones who abuse others the most. Tejashwi demanded that the Deputy Chief Minister apologize to the people of Bihar.
This entire episode has heated up the politics of Bihar, and the opposition has once again raised big questions about the working style and administrative transparency of the state government.
