BJP leader Amit Malviya accused Pawan Khera's wife Kota Neelima of holding voter IDs in two states. He termed it as vote theft and demanded an answer from Rahul Gandhi and an investigation from the Election Commission.
New Delhi: BJP spokesperson Amit Malviya has made serious allegations against Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera and his wife Kota Neelima. He claims that Kota Neelima possesses two separate EPIC Voter IDs. One is listed in the voter list of the Khairatabad Assembly seat in Telangana, and the other is in the Delhi voter list. Malviya has termed this as a "well-planned vote theft" and has sought a response from Rahul Gandhi. He has also demanded an investigation from the Election Commission.
Allegation of Name Registered in Two States
Amit Malviya claimed in his X post that Kota Neelima's name is registered in the voter list of both Telangana and Delhi. He stated that Neellima's first EPIC number (TDZ2666014) is present in the voter list of the Khairatabad Assembly constituency. According to the 2023 affidavit and voter roll, her name is registered as Kota Neelima, with husband's name Pawan Khera, Part Number 214, and Serial Number 314.
The BJP spokesperson stated that this same EPIC number was active in 2025 as well. In this, her name is registered as Kota Neelima, husband's name Pawan Khera, with Serial Number 752, in the section of Gauri Shankar Nagar Welfare Association within the Khairatabad Assembly constituency.
Name Also Registered in Delhi Voter List
Malviya alleged that Kota Neelima's name is also registered in the voter list of the Delhi Assembly constituency. He claims that another EPIC number (SJE0755975) is in the list of the New Delhi (40) Assembly constituency in Delhi. Here, her name is present as K. Neelima, husband's name Pawan Khera, Part Number 78, and Serial Number 821.
He said that this cannot be a mere coincidence. The possession of multiple EPIC numbers by Congress leaders points towards a well-planned conspiracy.
Allegation of Planned Vote Theft
Amit Malviya stated that this matter is an attempt to undermine the credibility of democratic institutions. Those who accuse others of weakening democracy are themselves involved in such activities.
The BJP spokesperson questioned Rahul Gandhi's silence on this matter. He said that the Election Commission should investigate these allegations against the Congress party.
Questions Raised on Sonia Gandhi Too
Amit Malviya claimed that this issue is not limited to Pawan Khera and his family. He alleged that in 1980, Sonia Gandhi's name was also registered in India's voter list, even though she was from Italy at that time. He stated that Congress and the INDIA bloc always defend illegal immigrants and non-Indians. This is not a strategy to protect democracy but to save their vote bank.
BJP Demands Investigation by Election Commission
Malviya demanded that the Election Commission conduct an impartial investigation into this entire episode. He said that if a person is registered as a voter in two states, it is a violation of the Representation of the People Act, and strict action should be taken. Amit Malviya also stated that the Congress leadership is silent on this matter. He questioned Rahul Gandhi why he is not saying anything on this issue. Is the Congress leadership involved in this conspiracy, or does it want to evade the accusations leveled against its leaders?
