BJP Mayor's Son Criticizes Central Government on Broken Promises, Train Accidents, and Railway Projects

Sanghmitra Bhargav, son of BJP Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav, has become a topic of discussion on social media for his speech during a debate competition in Indore. Sanghmitra, from the stage, held the central government accountable, accusing it of broken promises on several schemes, including the bullet train.

Indore News: Sanghmitra Bhargav, son of BJP Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav, launched a sharp attack on the central government during a debate competition held at Devi Ahilya Bai Auditorium in Indore on Friday. In the presence of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Sanghmitra labelled several schemes, including the bullet train project, as broken promises, stating that despite crores of rupees spent and land acquisition, the project has not yet moved beyond the papers.

Central Government Questioned Over Train Accidents

From the stage of the debate competition in Indore, Sanghmitra Bhargav, son of BJP Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav, put the central government in the dock over train accidents. He stated that the government talks about implementing the Kavach system, but in the last ten years, approximately 20,000 lives have been lost in train accidents.

Sanghmitra emotionally remarked that train accidents not only break coaches but shatter the happiness of families. A mother's lap becomes empty, and the future of many children is plunged into darkness.

Questions Raised on Railway Station Redevelopment

In his speech, Sanghmitra also raised questions regarding the redevelopment of railway stations. He said that the government claims 400 stations will be made like airports, but in reality, work has only been completed at 20 stations so far.

He sarcastically commented that the slogan "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas" (Together for all, Development for all) has now become "Dalal ka Saath, Janta ka Vinash" (Support of brokers, destruction of the public). He alleged that there are large-scale irregularities and scams in railway projects.

Sharp Statements Made in the Presence of the Chief Minister

This speech by Sanghmitra occurred when Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav themselves were present on the stage. The people present at the event were also surprised to hear the sharp statements from the son.

The Chief Minister attempted to lighten the mood in his address. He jokingly remarked about the Mayor, saying, "Our nephew has spoken well, this is the strength of democracy." He also added that improvements would certainly be made on some of Sanghmitra's points.

Opposition Supports and Taunts

The opposition immediately reacted to Sanghmitra Bhargav's statement. Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh praised him and called him an impressive speaker in a post on the social media platform X.

Along with this, he taunted the BJP, saying that when people from the ruling party itself start raising questions, it exposes the government's policies and promises. The opposition termed it as the voice of the public.
