BJP to Appoint New State Presidents in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tripura

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to announce the names of new state presidents soon in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tripura. According to party sources, the process for the election of the national president will be advanced only after organizational changes in these states.

New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is poised to take a significant step towards strengthening and reactivating its organization nationwide. According to reliable sources, the party is soon to appoint new state presidents in key states such as Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Karnataka, and Tripura. This change is considered crucial under the party's upcoming strategies and organizational restructuring.

Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary's Term Ends in UP

In Uttar Pradesh, considered the most important state in the country's politics, Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary's term has ended. He was appointed state president in 2022, but now a search is underway for a new face to replace him. It is believed that the new president will accelerate the preparations for the 2027 assembly elections along with organizational strengthening.

Given the political complexities and caste equations of Uttar Pradesh, the BJP is looking for a leader who can not only expand the organization but also play an effective role in the state's grassroots politics.

Preparations for Change in Gujarat Too

Gujarat, the home state of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, is also fully prepared for a change in state president. According to party sources, the name of the new president here could be announced in the next day or two. The BJP has a b hold in Gujarat, and before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the party may entrust this responsibility to a young and influential leader.

Delay in Karnataka, But Decision Soon

Karnataka has been the BJP's best bastion in South India, but after the recent defeat in the assembly elections, there is a need to reactivate the organization. Here, the appointment of a new state president has not been possible so far due to delays in organizational elections. However, sources say that the party leadership will soon announce a new president in Karnataka as well, who will play a key role in determining the party's strategic direction.

Signs of Change in Tripura Too

In the northeastern state of Tripura, Rajiv Bhattacharya is currently serving as the state president. He took over this position in 2022, replacing Chief Minister Manik Saha. But now there are signs of leadership change in Tripura as well. According to sources, a new president could be announced here soon, who will strengthen the organization keeping in mind the preparations for the 2028 assembly elections.

National President's Election is Linked to This

The BJP's constitution makes it clear that the election of the national president can only take place when the organizational election process has been completed in at least 50 percent of the states. This is why the appointment of new presidents in these four states is considered very important. Only when the process of these appointments is completed will the party move towards leadership selection at the national level as well.

The organizational elections of the Bharatiya Janata Party are conducted in a phased and transparent manner strictly according to the party constitution. Elections are held first at the Mandal and district levels, followed by the state unit, and then the national president is selected. This process not only gives a democratic form to the organization but also ensures the participation of the workers.
