Brother of Accused Sonam Raghuvanshi Demands Death Penalty if She is Guilty in Raja's Murder

Sonam Raghuvanshi's brother Govind apologized to Raja Raghuvanshi's family. He stated, "If Sonam is guilty, give her the death penalty; I myself will fight the case against her."

Raja Murder Case: A new twist has emerged in the Sonam Raghuvanshi case with a statement from her brother, Govind Raghuvanshi. Govind, appearing publicly for the first time since the incident, visited Raja Raghuvanshi's home and met with his family. Govind explicitly stated that if his sister Sonam is guilty, she should be given the death penalty. He denied any involvement of his family in the incident.

Meeting Raja Raghuvanshi's Mother

Govind, who was away from the family at the time of the incident, went directly to Raja Raghuvanshi's house. There, he met Raja's mother, Uma Devi, and bowed his head in apology. In this emotional meeting, Govind apologized, saying, "I can understand the pain of Raja's family. If my sister is guilty, she should be punished. I will fight the case against her in court myself."

Raj Kushwaha was merely an employee

In an interview with the media, Govind stated that Raj Kushwaha worked for them only as an employee. He claimed that there was no affair between Sonam and Raj. According to Govind, "Raj was just a worker. Sonam tied a rakhi (sacred thread) on his wrist. Their relationship was like that of a brother and sister. The things being spread are false."

Clarification regarding Jitendra Raghuvanshi

The allegations against Sonam also include the name of hawala trader Jitendra Raghuvanshi, regarding whom Govind offered clarification. He said that Jitendra is neither involved in any illegal activities nor has any connection with the hawala business. Govind said, "Jitendra is my maternal aunt's son. He works in our warehouse. We operate his bank account. He is being dragged into this case unnecessarily."

Contact broken with Sonam, but no trust

Govind also stated that he has had no contact with Sonam since the incident. He said that the family has severed all ties with Sonam and now stands only with the truth. He bluntly stated, "We will now fight the case on behalf of Raja's family. If Sonam is guilty, she should be punished. We are getting all the information from the media. Sonam has not confessed to the murder, but the evidence suggests that she planned it."

Emotional statement, demand for justice

Govind's statement was very emotional; he repeatedly stated that he understands the sorrow of Raja's family. He also added that if Sonam truly committed the murder, she should be given the death penalty according to the law. "I swear on my parents that if Sonam is guilty, she should not be forgiven."

Family declared innocent

Govind declared his entire family innocent in the case, stating that it may be the mistake of one person, but the entire family is not involved. He assured Raja's family by visiting their home that his family is not involved in this incident in any way.

Appeal to the media and hope for justice

While speaking to the media, Govind appealed to journalists not to sensationalize the case and allow the investigating agencies to work impartially. "We want the truth to come out, not lies and rumors. We hope for justice."
