Bombay Stock Exchange and National Stock Exchange of India conducted a special mock trading session on Saturday, March 14, to test trading systems and a new operational framework ahead of upcoming market operations.
The session was organized by the country’s two major stock exchanges, National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange, to evaluate the stability of trading infrastructure, operational readiness and disaster recovery arrangements.
The mock session is conducted to ensure technical stability before future market operations and to familiarize trading members with updated systems. The exchanges stated that all trades executed during the session are solely for testing purposes and are not linked to actual market transactions.
The exchanges periodically conduct such testing sessions to ensure that market operations can continue without disruption in the event of technical issues, network failures or disaster scenarios.
The current mock session is testing the new operational framework, disaster recovery system, switching between the primary and backup sites, stability of the trading platform, and the revised Order-to-Trade Ratio framework.
