BSEB 2026: The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has released the dummy registration cards for the 2026 Inter and Matric examinations. This card is a preliminary details sheet containing the student's personal information, subjects, and other details. Students are advised to immediately check the card upon receipt and make corrections if any errors are found.

The board has clarified that changes in the dummy registration card are only for corrections and not for completely changing a person's name or entering incorrect information.

Last Date for Corrections: September 8

BSEB has instructed students to contact their institutions by September 8, 2025, to make corrections in the dummy registration card. No changes will be allowed after this date. Students who delay in making corrections may have their enrollment canceled and will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

Students must ensure that the name, parents' names, date of birth, caste, Aadhaar number, and other personal details recorded in their dummy registration card are correct.

Online Correction and Download Process

The process of downloading the dummy registration card is simple. Students can download their card by visiting the official BSEB website. If any errors are found after downloading, students can contact the principal of their school or college to make corrections.

The information that can be corrected includes the student's photograph, date of birth, gender, caste, religion, nationality, and subjects. It is very important to correct any errors in a timely manner so that there are no problems in the examination.

Strict Warning Against Name Changes

BSEB has issued guidelines to schools and colleges that under no circumstances should a student's name be completely changed to that of their parent. The board has clarified that students who attempt to do so will have their enrollment canceled. This may prevent the student from filling out the examination form.

The District Education Department stated that this step has been taken to ensure correct information for students and parents.

Dummy Card Correction Process in Schools

Various high schools and intermediate schools are seeing a rush of students to view and correct dummy registration cards. School principals are helping students and ensuring that all corrections are made in a timely manner.

The Principal Teacher of Plus Two Rajkiya Krit High School, Ishaar Ahmad, said that the correction work in his school is almost complete. The board has released the dummy registration card on the portal, giving students a chance to make corrections. After the corrections, students will have to contact the institution once again to check the registration.

What Errors Should Students Check For?

Students should specifically check the following details:

  • Student's name and spelling
  • Parents' names and spelling
  • Date of birth and gender
  • Caste and religion
  • Aadhaar number and nationality
  • Selected subjects and academic information
  • Clarity and correct format of the photo

For corrections, students will have to contact the principal of their institution and get the corrections done through the online portal.

The dummy registration card is available on the official website of the Bihar Board. Students can download the card from there and apply to their school for correction if there is a mistake. This process is to make exam preparation and registration easier and more organized.

The board has also clarified that the dummy registration card is only preliminary and should not be confused with the final registration card. The final registration card will be issued after the correction process is complete.
