A cobra bit a father and his two sons while they were sleeping in Balaghat, resulting in the deaths of both children and leaving the father in critical condition. Villagers killed the snake, and local leaders arrived to offer assistance.
Balaghat: A tragic incident occurred in Kulpa village, Lanji area of Balaghat district, Madhya Pradesh, during the night between Wednesday and Thursday, bringing misfortune to a family. A cobra bit three people while they were asleep. In this incident, two young children of the family, Kunal (7) and Ishant (4), died, while their father, Dinesh Dahare, remains in critical condition and is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Gondia. The entire village is in mourning.
Sudden Vomiting and Distress
The family had decided to eat dinner and go to sleep for the night. However, in the middle of the night, the children and their father suddenly started vomiting. The family members panicked and immediately took them to the village doctor. After initial treatment, seeing that their condition was worsening, they were sent to a hospital in Gondia.
En route, the younger son, Ishant, breathed his last. The elder son, Kunal, was brought to the hospital, but he too succumbed during treatment. Doctors confirmed that the deaths of both children were due to snakebite. The father, Dinesh, is still in a critical state.
Mourning at Home After the Death of Two Children
Following the deaths of both children, the mother is repeatedly falling unconscious, and a deep silence has fallen over the home. The family and villagers are stunned by this tragedy. The atmosphere in the house is filled with grief and anxiety.
The villagers immediately found and killed the snake that had entered the house. Now, the family and surrounding residents are extra vigilant to ensure no one else is harmed. A climate of concern about snakebites pervades the entire village.
Administration and Leaders Meet the Family Regarding the Incident
Upon receiving information about the incident, local MLA Rajkumar Karrahe, Janpad member Mahendra Patle, and Mandal President Yogesh Kurrah arrived at the scene. They met with the grieving family, offered condolences, and assured them of all possible assistance.
The police have sent the bodies of both children for post-mortem examination, and the investigation is ongoing. Local administration stated that the family would be provided with necessary aid and advised to remain vigilant for protection against snakebites.
