Education News: The deadline for the application process for candidates interested in appearing for the CSIR-UGC NET examination for the December 2025 session, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is approaching soon. Eligible and interested candidates must fill the form by October 27, 2025, without delay. Following this, the last date for submitting the application fee has been set as October 28, 2025.
Correction Window Facility
To facilitate candidates in correcting any errors made while filling the form, NTA will open a correction window on October 30, 2025. Candidates can log in and make necessary corrections until November 1. This facility is available to all candidates to rectify minor errors in their applications.
Subjects for Application
The CSIR NET examination for the December 2025 session will be conducted in a total of 5 subjects:
- Chemical Sciences
- Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences
- Life Sciences
- Mathematical Sciences
- Physical Sciences
- Interested candidates can apply online only for these subjects.
Application Process
Candidates can apply via mobile, laptop, or desktop. The steps for application are as follows:
- Visit the official website csirnet.nta.ac.in.
- On the homepage, under LATEST NEWS, click on the link “Joint CSIR-UGC NET December-2025: Click Here to Register/Login”.
- On the new page, click on the "New Candidate Register Here" link to register.
- After registration, fill in the required personal and academic details.
- Upload your photograph and signature.
- Submit the prescribed application fee.
- After submitting the form, take a printout and keep it safe.
Application Fee
For this exam, candidates belonging to the General category will have to pay ₹1150, while General EWS and OBC (NCL) categories will pay ₹600. Candidates from SC, ST, PwBD, and Third Gender categories will need to pay ₹325 as the application fee.
