Preparations have been completed for the constable recruitment examination scheduled to be held in Darbhanga district on June 28. The district administration and all departments associated with the examination have put in place arrangements to ensure that the examination is conducted in a fair, transparent and malpractice-free manner. A total of 24 examination centres have been established across the district. Comprehensive security arrangements have been made at all centres, and the administration has stated that any negligence or violation of examination rules will not be tolerated. Candidates have been advised to reach their examination centres before the prescribed reporting time, as entry will not be permitted under any circumstances after the admission window closes.

According to the district administration, high-quality CCTV cameras are being installed at every examination centre. The cameras will continuously monitor all activities from the commencement of the examination until its conclusion. A central control room will also conduct live monitoring of all centres to ensure that any suspicious activity is immediately reported to the concerned officials. The administration stated that any attempt by a candidate or any other individual to compromise the confidentiality of the examination or violate its rules will invite immediate legal action.

Jammers will also be installed at all examination centres to prevent the misuse of electronic devices during the examination. While the jammers remain active, mobile networks and other wireless communication services will be affected to prevent attempts at cheating through Bluetooth devices, earpieces or other electronic means. The administration stated that, in view of recent incidents of technology-assisted malpractice in competitive examinations, it does not intend to take any risk.

The entry process has also been organised with strict security measures. Candidates will undergo thorough screening at the main entrance of each examination centre. Admit cards, valid photo identity documents and other required documents will be verified before entry. Metal detectors and frisking arrangements will also be in place. Officials stated that only permitted items will be allowed inside the examination centres. Mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, calculators, electronic gadgets, written notes, paper slips and any other suspicious material will not be permitted.

The district administration has advised candidates to pay particular attention to reporting time. Officials stated that candidates must reach their centres well before the examination begins. The main gates of the examination centres will be closed after the prescribed reporting time, and no candidate will be allowed to enter thereafter, irrespective of the reason for the delay. The administration stated that this arrangement has been made to maintain the confidentiality and fairness of the examination.

Security arrangements have also been strengthened around the examination centres. A large deployment of police personnel, magistrates and administrative officials will remain on duty. Separate responsibilities have been assigned to centre superintendents, flying squads and supervisors at every examination centre. The administration has also stated that unnecessary gatherings outside examination centres will not be allowed. Parents and other members of the public have been requested not to assemble near the centres and to follow administrative instructions.

The administration stated that all examination centres have already been inspected. Seating arrangements, drinking water facilities, toilets, lighting, power backup and security measures have been reviewed. Where deficiencies were identified, instructions for timely rectification were issued. The concerned departments have also been directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the examination so that CCTV cameras and other security equipment continue functioning without interruption.

The district administration has appealed to candidates to rely only on official information and avoid rumours or misleading messages. Officials stated that social media platforms will also be monitored for the spread of false information related to the examination. Any individual attempting to leak question papers, facilitate cheating or disrupt the examination process will face strict legal action. The administration stated that all necessary measures have been taken to ensure that the examination is conducted in a completely transparent and fair manner.

Candidates have been advised to verify the location of their examination centre, the travel route and the estimated travel time a day before the examination to avoid inconvenience on the examination day. Taking into account possible traffic congestion and the time required for security checks, they have been advised to leave home well in advance. Candidates have also been advised to wear comfortable clothing in accordance with the prescribed dress code to avoid unnecessary delays during the screening process.

The district administration stated that conducting the examination in a fair and malpractice-free environment is its highest priority. To achieve this, extensive deployment of technical surveillance systems, jammers, CCTV cameras, flying squads, magistrates and police personnel has been made. Officials expressed confidence that with coordination among all departments and the cooperation of candidates, the examination will be conducted peacefully, transparently and successfully.
