The accident resulted in the immediate death of two people, while three others were seriously injured. The injured have been promptly admitted to the Civil Hospital in Mohali, where their condition remains critical.

Identification and Status of the Deceased

The two individuals who died in the explosion have been identified as Asif and Devender. Both were employees working at the plant. Officials arrived at the scene and immediately began relief efforts. The post-mortem process is currently underway, and the families have been informed.

Explosion Occurred at 9 AM

DSP Harsimran Singh Bal of Mohali Police reported that the accident occurred at approximately 9 AM. Upon receiving the information, police, fire brigade, and district administration teams reached the site. According to preliminary information, the explosion was triggered by the bursting of an oxygen cylinder, which led to a chain reaction causing other cylinders to explode.

Administrative Officers Arrived on the Scene

SDM Damandeep Kaur stated that the explosion was so intense that the area around the plant was severely damaged. She said, "We received information about the cylinder explosion in the morning. When we reached the spot, the deaths of two people were confirmed, and three others were found seriously injured. The injured were immediately sent to the hospital."

Relief and Rescue Operations Ongoing

Relief and rescue operations were initiated immediately upon receiving news of the incident. Police officers and medical teams reached the site and took all necessary steps. The surrounding areas have been evacuated to prevent further loss of life or property from any potential explosions.
