Delhi Capitals qualified for the WPL 2026 Eliminator after defeating UP Warriors by five wickets in the 20th and final league match of the tournament, successfully chasing a target of 123 runs.

In the 20th and final league match of the Women’s Premier League 2026, Delhi Capitals defeated UP Warriors by five wickets to qualify for the playoffs. The victory secured Delhi’s place in the Eliminator.

UP Warriors, sent in to bat first after losing the toss, made a poor start. Captain Meg Lanning was dismissed for a first-ball duck, putting the team under early pressure. Delhi bowlers maintained tight line and length and took regular wickets, preventing UP from building momentum.

In the middle order, Deepti Sharma scored 24 runs, while Simran Sheikh made 22 off 14 balls. Shikha Pandey remained unbeaten on 23 to take UP Warriors to 122 for 8 in 20 overs.

Delhi Capitals’ bowling played a key role in the match. Marizanne Kapp took three wickets, including key top-order dismissals. Chinelle Henry supported her with two wickets in the middle overs. Delhi’s spinners also kept the run rate under control.

Chasing a target of 123, Delhi Capitals began cautiously. Deepti Sharma picked up two wickets in the middle overs, briefly slowing the chase. Captain Jemima Rodrigues then guided the innings, forming partnerships to take the team close to the target. Delhi reached 123 for 5 in 18.4 overs, sealing qualification for the Eliminator.

With this result, Delhi Capitals confirmed their place in the playoffs, while the campaigns of Mumbai Indians and UP Warriors came to an end.
