Delhi Metro Imposes Heavy Fines, Bans Reel-Making and Stunts for Passenger Safety

Delhi Metro has announced strict action against passengers making reels. Heavy fines will soon be imposed on those performing stunts, dancing, and shooting videos in the metro, to prevent inconvenience to passengers.

NEW DELHI: To curb the increasing activities of passengers making reels in the metro, the metro administration is now going to take strict measures. Performing stunts in a moving metro, dancing while holding pipes, or shooting videos in unusual attire was proving inconvenient for many passengers. In view of such situations, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has now prepared to implement new rules and impose fines on violators.

Ban on Making Reels in Metro

Many passengers in Delhi Metro have complained that some individuals engage in inconvenient behavior inside the metro to create their social media reels. Due to these "reel-makers," not only are other passengers disturbed, but questions also arise about the safety of the coach. Performing stunts or dancing in a moving metro can also lead to an accident.

Therefore, DMRC has clarified that no passenger will now be allowed to shoot videos within metro premises. Under this policy, if anyone breaks the rule, a direct fine will be imposed. The administration has issued the order in both Hindi and English to ensure that all passengers can understand it.

New Rules for Passenger Safety

Anuj Dayal, Head of Corporate Communications at DMRC, stated that this step has been taken keeping in mind the safety and comfort of passengers. Passengers making reels often make journeys inconvenient by sitting on the floor or playing loud music. To prevent such instances, a clear warning and a provision for fines have now been introduced.

Additionally, DMRC has issued strict directives against sitting on the floor, eating and drinking, and playing loud music. The objective is to ensure that all individuals traveling in the metro can commute in a safe and comfortable environment.

Fine Amount and Rule Adherence

Under the new policy, heavy fines will be imposed on passengers engaged in making reels. DMRC states that the purpose of imposing this fine is solely to prevent inconvenience to passengers. Any passenger violating the rules will be given a direct warning, and repeated violations may lead to financial penalties.

This measure will maintain discipline in the metro and enhance passenger convenience. DMRC officials state that strict action will be taken against those who do not adhere to the rules, and assistance from the police or metro security personnel will also be sought for this purpose.

DMRC Raises Passenger Awareness Through Social Media

Along with curbing reel-making, DMRC has also launched a social media campaign. In this campaign, passengers are urged not to play loud music during their journey and to refrain from participating in any anti-social activities.

Anuj Dayal stated that this initiative aims to make the metro comfortable for all passengers. In recent years, several instances of reel-making in the metro had come to light, causing inconvenience to passengers. Now, through these policies and campaigns, DMRC aims to ensure that metro travel remains smooth, safe, and peaceful.
