Delhi Police are investigating the alleged murder of 21-year-old Muskaan, who was killed with a knife after an accused identified as gym trainer Imran allegedly entered her home in the Tilak Nagar area on Wednesday evening. Police said Muskaan was alone at home at the time of the incident, while Imran remains absconding.
After receiving information about the incident, a police team reached the spot and began examining the house. CCTV footage from cameras installed in the surrounding area is being reviewed to trace the accused’s movements before and after the incident. Police are also conducting technical and local investigations to locate him.
According to police sources, Muskaan’s family members had gone out for some work on Wednesday, leaving her alone at home. It is alleged that Imran reached the house during this time and attacked her with a knife.
Muskaan suffered serious injuries in the attack. After the incident came to light, her family and police were informed. A police team reached the spot and started the investigation. A crowd gathered in the area after news of the incident spread.
Police are investigating how the accused entered the house and what conversation, if any, took place between him and Muskaan before the incident. Call details and other available evidence may also be examined along with CCTV footage.
Following the incident, police began collecting recordings from CCTV cameras installed around the area. Investigators are examining the footage to establish the accused’s movements, his presence near the house and the direction in which he fled after the incident.
Additional DCP Abhishek Gupta said police are searching for the accused. The investigation team is collecting necessary evidence from the scene and identifying the accused’s possible locations.
Police are also examining whether the accused came alone or was accompanied by another person. No arrest has been made so far.
A friend of the deceased claimed that Imran had been harassing Muskaan for some time. According to the friend, Imran worked as a gym trainer and the two knew each other.
The friend alleged that Imran harassed Muskaan when she did not speak to him and also followed her. He further claimed that the accused was pressuring her to marry him and that she wanted to maintain distance from him.
These allegations are currently part of the police investigation and have not been independently confirmed. Police are questioning Muskaan’s acquaintances and family members to understand the nature of the relationship between the two and whether there had previously been any complaint or dispute.
According to Muskaan’s friend, she was studying and also worked part-time as a model. Her family and acquaintances said she was engaged in her normal daily routine.
A family member was informed about the incident at around 7 pm on Wednesday. The family then informed the police. A police team reached the spot shortly afterwards and began the investigation.
The news of the woman’s murder led to concern and anger among local residents. The alleged killing after entry into the house has also raised questions about security in the area.
One of the main questions for police is how the accused entered the house. Investigators are examining whether Muskaan already knew the accused and whether that acquaintance enabled him to enter the house.
Police are also collecting information about contact between the two before the incident. Call records, mobile location data, CCTV footage and statements from people in the vicinity could be relevant to the investigation.
Police are also trying to determine whether the accused brought the knife used in the incident with him or whether it was already present in the house. Potential evidence recovered from the scene may undergo forensic examination.
As part of the investigation, police will also examine whether Muskaan had previously complained against the accused or had informed her family or friends about his activities.

If the allegations made by her friend regarding following and harassment are confirmed, they could become an important part of the investigation. Police will seek to determine whether the accused had previously issued any threats, exerted pressure or repeatedly attempted to contact her.
However, any conclusion will depend on the police investigation and the available evidence.
The alleged murder of the 21-year-old woman after entry into her home has again raised concerns about women’s safety in the national capital. The circumstances in which the accused allegedly entered the house are an important part of the investigation.
Experts said incidents involving persistent following, unwanted contact and threats should not be ignored. In such cases, an early complaint and timely police intervention can help prevent potential violence.
Police are also trying to establish whether Muskaan or her family had previously expressed concern about the accused’s behaviour.
Muskaan’s death has left her family grieving. Neighbours and acquaintances said a large number of people reached the spot after information about the incident emerged.
Police have increased security at the scene and started the investigation. Officials said more information about the motive for the murder and the sequence of events is expected to emerge after the accused is arrested.
For now, the investigation is focused on locating Imran and collecting evidence related to the incident.
Police believe CCTV footage and other technical evidence may help establish the accused’s movements. Investigating agencies are also keeping watch on his possible locations.
The reason behind the murder, the nature of the relationship between the accused and the deceased, and whether there had been any previous dispute will become clearer after the investigation.
Imran remains absconding in the case. Police are searching for him and working to establish all facts related to the alleged murder.
