Delhi University has commenced the admission process for the MA Hindi Journalism course for the 2025-26 academic session. Candidates can apply online until September 05 at pg-merit.uod.ac.in. Selection will be based on undergraduate marks.

Delhi University Admission 2025: Delhi University has initiated the admission process for the MA Hindi Journalism course at its South Campus for the academic session 2025-26. This marks the first time the university is offering this course at the Master's degree level. Previously, only a one-year diploma in Hindi Journalism was available. The introduction of this course will greatly benefit students aspiring to build careers in the media and journalism sector.

The Hindi Department of Delhi University's South Campus, in conjunction with the launch of this course, has announced that the application process will be entirely Online. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website, pg-merit.uod.ac.in, until 11:59 PM on September 05, 2025.

According to Professor Anil Rai, Head of the Hindi Department, this course will open new avenues for students of Hindi journalism. He further stated that students completing just one year of study will be awarded a diploma. Moreover, starting next year, i.e., from 2026, students who have completed a four-year undergraduate program will be eligible to receive their MA degree in just one year.

Academic Eligibility and Selection Process

To apply for this course, candidates must possess a graduate degree from any recognized university. Graduates with a BA (Hons) in Hindi Journalism or BA (Hons) in Hindi are also eligible to apply.

The selection process will be entirely merit-based. This means admissions will be granted solely on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in their undergraduate studies. There will be no separate entrance examination.

Application Fee Information

Delhi University has also set the application fee:

  • General, OBC-NCL, and EWS candidates – ₹250
  • SC, ST, and PwD candidates – ₹150
