ED Investigates Changur Baba's ₹100 Crore Assets: Probe into Fake Accounts and Foreign Funds

ED Begins Investigation into Changur Baba's 100 Crore Property. Action is being prepared regarding fake accounts, money from Arab countries, and assets.

ED Action: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has started tightening the noose around Jalaluddin alias Changur Baba, who calls himself a baba, and his associates. The investigating agency is probing the assets of the baba, which are worth more than 100 crore rupees. It is reported that this property has surfaced in the form of various bank accounts, institutions, and land, both domestically and internationally.

40 Bank Accounts Opened on Fake Documents

In the initial investigation by the ED, it has been revealed that Changur Baba created a total of 40 institutions using fake documents. Forty different bank accounts were opened in the names of these institutions. The special thing is that six of these accounts are in foreign banks, which are now being investigated rapidly. There is suspicion that these accounts were used for hawala and money laundering.

Crores of Rupees Transferred from Arab Countries

According to sources, crores of rupees were sent from Arab countries into these accounts of Changur Baba. This money was used to buy land in cities like Uttar Pradesh, Nagpur, and Pune. These lands are registered in the name of the baba and his associates. Now, the ED is trying to find out where this money came from, for what purpose it was sent, and what documents were used in the purchase and sale of the land.

Expensive Animals Also Under Investigation

The ED's investigation has also revealed that Changur Baba had spent lakhs of rupees to keep foreign breed horses and dogs. The purchase of these animals is also said to have been made from suspicious funds. Now this expenditure has also come to the notice of the investigating agency and is also being seen as part of money laundering.

ED Preparing to Seize Assets

The Enforcement Directorate is currently keeping a close watch on every activity of Changur Baba and his network. The agency is collecting documents related to all bank accounts, land deals, and institutions. After this, the process of seizing all these properties may be started soon.

Who is Changur Baba

Changur Baba alias Jalaluddin had established himself as a religious guru. He presented himself as a person with spiritual power and gained a large number of followers through social media. His activities have long been reported as suspicious, but now, after the evidence of financial irregularities has come to light, the central agencies have become active.
