Eknath Khadse's Son-in-Law Arrested in Pune Rave Party Drug Bust

The political landscape of Maharashtra heated up when Pranjal Khewalkar, the son-in-law of senior NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Eknath Khadse, was arrested in Pune in connection with an alleged rave party. Police raided a party at a luxury hotel in the Kharadi area of Pune on the morning of July 27, following reports of drug consumption. Khewalkar, along with seven others, was taken into custody during the operation. Police have claimed to have recovered drugs from the scene. The court has remanded all the accused to two days of police custody.

Previous Party Held

Police investigation revealed that the party started on the night of July 26, but another party was also held in the same flat on July 25. It was reported that Pranjal Khewalkar had booked the flat for four days. The police are now investigating the party held on July 25 and have started the process of scrutinizing the CCTV footage of the flat.

Rohini Khadse Clarifies

Following this development, Pranjal Khewalkar's wife and NCP women's state president, Rohini Khadse, reacted on social media. She wrote that she has full faith in the law and the police system, and the truth will come out at the right time. Although she did not directly accuse anyone, her statement hinted at a political conspiracy. This arrest comes at a time when there was recently a dispute between Eknath Khadse and BJP leader Girish Mahajan regarding a honeytrap controversy, making the matter even more sensitive.
