Fraud: A bizarre and shocking case of mocking the government process has come to light in Samastipur district, Bihar. This time, a fraudulent online application for a residential certificate was made in the name of one of the world's most influential political figures, US President Donald Trump. This case has become a topic of discussion, and the administration, taking the matter seriously, has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against an unknown person and started an investigation.
Application Made with Donald Trump's Name and Photo
The incident occurred in the Mohiuddin Nagar circle of Samastipur district, where the fraudulent application was received at the RTPS (Right to Public Service) center. The applicant's name was listed as Donald Trump, and his picture was affixed to the application form. Strangely, sensitive information such as an Indian Aadhaar number, address, and barcode were tampered with in this application. The address listed was: Village - Hasanpur, Ward No. - 13, Post - Bakarpur, Police Station - Mohiuddin Nagar, District - Samastipur. During the investigation, it became clear that the entire application was forged. The authenticity of the Aadhaar and other documents was not found, after which the application was rejected on August 4, 2025.
RTPS Officer Confirms
In this regard, RTPS in-charge Srishti Sagar informed that the application received in the name of Donald Trump was completely fake. As soon as the officers suspected, they thoroughly investigated the documents, and the application was rejected upon confirmation of tampering. Along with this, an FIR has been registered against an unknown person at the Samastipur Cyber Police Station. She also expressed apprehension that this act may have been deliberately done to influence the revision campaign being run by the Election Commission or to defame the administrative process. Instructions have been given to the investigating agencies to seriously investigate the entire matter.
Such Pranks Have Happened Before
This is not the first time that such bizarre and false applications have been received in Bihar. Prior to this, such fake applications in the names of famous personalities have come to light. A few weeks ago, an online application came in the name of Bhojpuri film actress Monalisa, in which her photo and a fabricated address were marked. The department had also registered an FIR on this.
In the same sequence, a fake application was also received in the name of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, in which his photo was accompanied by the address of Muzaffarpur district. Police and cyber teams are investigating these cases as well.
Preparation to Crack Down on Cyber Criminals
As government services are shifting to digital platforms, cybercrimes are also increasing. Such cases make it clear that some elements are taking advantage of the shortcomings of the public service center system by committing fraud.
The Samastipur Cyber Police Station in-charge said that the IP address, device details, and system logs used in this case are being scanned. An attempt will be made to find out soon from which computer or mobile device and from which location this application was filled. If the charges are proved, the concerned person will be prosecuted under strict sections of the IT Act, which provides for severe punishment.
Increased Concern Among the Public, Demand for Strict Action from the Administration
After this case came to light, there is an atmosphere of concern among the local citizens. People say that if such fake activities continue without any fear, it will become difficult for genuine needy people to get the benefits of government schemes. The public has demanded strict monitoring and prompt action against the culprits from the administration.
