Union Minister Giriraj Singh launched another scathing attack on RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav on Monday. He demanded that Yadav apologize to the Dalit community of India for allegedly insulting Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar.
Bihar Politics: Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Monday once again vehemently attacked RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav. He demanded that Yadav apologize to the nation's Dalit community for the alleged insult to Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. Giriraj Singh stated, "Lalu Yadav's true face is now before the entire nation."
He added that the insult to Ambedkar will never be forgotten by the Dalit community of India. Yadav should not only publicly apologize but also perform penance for his actions.
Penance on the Ganga Ghat - Union Minister Giriraj
Known for his sharp rhetoric, Giriraj Singh said, "You should go to the Ganga ghat and eat sand and cow dung as penance. If you don't have faith in Hinduism, go to Phulwari Sharif." This statement follows a controversy where a viral video allegedly shows Lalu Yadav making derogatory remarks about a picture of Ambedkar. However, the RJD has dismissed the video as misleading and edited.
RJD's Response
While there has been no official response from the RJD to Giriraj Singh's statement yet, party sources claim it's a BJP diversion tactic. An anonymous senior leader stated, "BJP leaders only engage in inflammatory politics, while the people of Bihar want answers on real issues."
With the Bihar Assembly elections approaching, the political temperature is steadily rising. Giriraj Singh's statement could provide fresh political ammunition for the opposition, while the RJD camp may label it an election conspiracy.
