Gold and silver prices witnessed fluctuations on Monday amid continued uncertainty over global economic indicators and expectations surrounding the U.S. Federal Reserve's interest rate policy. Investor caution remained evident in both international and domestic bullion markets.
According to market experts, global geopolitical developments, movements in the U.S. dollar, central bank monetary policies, and demand for safe-haven assets continue to be the key factors influencing precious metal prices.
The international bullion market began the week on a mixed note. Gold received some support from a weaker U.S. dollar and reduced expectations of an immediate increase in interest rates. Silver also recorded gains, supported by industrial demand and increased investor interest.

However, domestic gold prices remained under pressure due to profit booking by investors and volatility in the futures market.
Market experts said upcoming U.S. economic data and policy commentary from the Federal Reserve could play an important role in determining the direction of precious metal prices in the coming days.
Trading on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) remained volatile for both gold and silver. Gold futures traded lower during the session, while silver moved within a limited range.
According to analysts, domestic bullion prices are influenced not only by international markets but also by the rupee exchange rate and import costs. As a result, even minor movements in global prices can have a different impact on the Indian market.
On Monday, prices of 24-carat, 22-carat, and 18-carat gold varied slightly across major Indian cities. Silver prices also traded with marginal variations depending on the city.
