Gold and silver prices remained unchanged on June 21, 2026, as MCX and bullion markets were closed. Gold declined by approximately ₹5,228 per 10 grams and silver by around ₹20,092 per kilogram during the week.

Gold and silver prices remained unchanged across the country on Sunday, June 21, 2026, as trading activity remained suspended due to the closure of the Multi Commodity Exchange of India (MCX) and bullion markets.

Precious metal prices recorded a sharp decline in both domestic and international markets during the week. Gold prices have fallen by more than ₹5,000 per 10 grams over the past five trading sessions from their record-high levels, while silver prices have declined by nearly ₹20,000 per kilogram during the same period.

Amid the market closure, the latest gold rates recorded across major cities were as follows:

In Delhi, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,09,230, 22-carat gold at ₹1,34,050, and 18-carat gold at ₹1,09,710.

In Mumbai, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,46,080, 22-carat gold at ₹1,33,900, and 18-carat gold at ₹1,09,560.

In Kolkata, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,46,080, 22-carat gold at ₹1,33,900, and 18-carat gold at ₹1,09,560.

In Chennai, 24-carat gold was priced at ₹1,48,370, 22-carat gold at ₹1,36,000, and 18-carat gold at ₹1,13,370.

Silver prices also remained stable. The price of 1 gram of silver stood at ₹255, while 10 grams were priced at ₹2,550. The price of 1 kilogram of silver was recorded at ₹2,55,000.

During the week, gold prices declined by approximately ₹5,228 per 10 grams, while silver prices fell by approximately ₹20,092 per kilogram. The decline followed record-high levels seen in recent months, resulting in a significant market correction. According to experts, the current decline may be considered a correction phase. Demand is expected to increase again ahead of the wedding and festive season.
