Gorakhpur (Janipur) – On Thursday night, a woman named Rajkumari Devi died under suspicious circumstances in the Bhupgarh Tola Jot area of the district. Upon receiving the information, police from Gola police station reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
The woman's paternal family immediately filed a complaint at the police station, accusing her in-laws of murder. Ishwar Chand Yadav, the deceased's nephew, stated that his aunt had been harassed by her in-laws for a long time. They are terming this incident a conspiracy to portray murder as 'suicide'.
Meanwhile, the deceased's daughter has also cited property disputes and her father's other relationships as the cause of her mother's death, accusing her father and his family.
Police Station In-charge Rahul Shukla stated that the investigation into the case is ongoing, and the exact cause of death will only come to light after the post-mortem report is received.
