Gwalior: Police Constable Shot and Robbed by Bike-Borne Miscreants; Former MLA Rushes Him to Hospital

In Gwalior, bike-borne miscreants shot Constable Pramod Tyagi in the chest, looted cash and a mobile phone, and fled. Former MLA Satyapal Singh immediately rushed the injured constable to the hospital. The police have started an investigation.

Gwalior: In Madhya Pradesh's Gwalior district, bike-borne miscreants shot a police constable and fled after looting his money, mobile, and bike. The blood-soaked constable was calling for help on the road when former MLA Satyapal Singh Sikarwar arrived at the scene and took the injured constable to the hospital in his vehicle. The police have registered a case and started an investigation.

Robbery by Shooting

The injured Constable Pramod Tyagi, who is posted at Rajendra Nagar police station in Indore and is a resident of Badarpura Jaura village, Morena district, was on his way to Gwalior to see his ailing father. On Thursday morning, he was traveling by bike and refueling at a petrol pump in the Ghatigaon police station area.

During this time, four bike-borne miscreants followed him. As soon as they got an opportunity, the miscreants surrounded Pramod and attempted to rob him. When Pramod resisted, the miscreants shot him in the chest. After that, they looted 30,000 rupees in cash, a mobile phone, and his bike, and fled. Pramod, bleeding profusely, started calling for help on the road.

Former MLA Comes to Aid of Injured Constable

During this time, former MLA Satyapal Singh Sikarwar was coming towards Gwalior. Seeing the injured constable on the road, he immediately took him in his vehicle and transported him to the hospital. Subsequently, information about the incident was given to SSP Dharamvir Singh.

The SSP and senior officials immediately reached Jayarogya Hospital and assessed the condition of the injured constable. Police who arrived at the scene not only ensured assistance for the injured but also set up a roadblock on the Ghatigaon highway to increase security in the surrounding areas.

Pramod's Serious Condition

According to police officials, Pramod was shot in the chest. Doctors stated that his condition remains stable and he is being provided immediate and appropriate treatment. The SSP inspected the scene and instructed officials to gather all possible clues.

Following the incident, vehicles are being searched on the Ghatigaon highway. Police teams have been deployed in the area, and the search for suspects has been intensified. Local residents have also been urged to immediately inform the police of any suspicious activity.

Police Begin Search for Perpetrators

Police state that such incidents have emboldened criminals, and they are not afraid to target police personnel under any circumstances. This incident has re-emphasized the need for robust security arrangements and heightened vigilance on highways.

The SSP stated that all police forces have been alerted, and no stone will be left unturned in the investigation. He also urged local residents to remain vigilant on the highway and in surrounding areas and to immediately report any suspicious individuals to the police. Police officials believe that the injured constable's life was saved only due to the timely arrival of the former MLA.
