Gwalior to Host Regional Tourism Conclave, Focus on Investment and Heritage

Regional Tourism Conclave in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh on August 29-30. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will interact with investors. Special attention will be given to investment in the tourism sector, cultural heritage, and employment generation.

MP News: A Regional Tourism Conclave is being organized in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh on August 29th and 30th. Its objective is to increase investment in the tourism sector in the state and promote local tourism. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will interact with investors at this conclave and inform them about tourism opportunities in the Gwalior-Chambal and Sagar divisions.

Special Presence of Union Minister and Speaker of the Legislative Assembly

The conclave will be held at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Agricultural University in Gwalior. Union Minister of Communications and North Eastern Region Development Jyotiraditya Scindia and Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Narendra Singh Tomar will also be present. This event is a significant step towards strengthening the state government's tourism policy and attracting investors.

Objective of the Event

Minister of State for Tourism, Culture, and Religious Trusts and Endowments, Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, stated that the main objective of the conclave is to enhance cooperation and partnership between tourism businesses, tour operators, and the hotel industry. Through this, the tourism sector in Gwalior will gain a new dimension of investment.

The theme of the conclave is centered on “Timeless Gwalior: Echoes of Culture, Spirit of Legacy”. It is an important initiative to promote tourism investment, cultural heritage, experiential tourism, and regional development.

Key Activities in the Conclave

Principal Secretary of Tourism and Culture and Managing Director of Tourism Board, Shiv Shekhar Shukla, stated that Letter of Award (LoA) will be awarded to investors in the hotel, resort, wellness, and eco-tourism sectors at the conclave. In addition, MOUs and contracts will also be signed.

These projects will provide employment to the local community and provide stability to regional tourism. A special tourism exhibition will also be organized at the conclave, which will showcase Madhya Pradesh's diverse tourist destinations, tourism units, hospitality brands, home-stays, resorts, handloom/handicraft, adventure activities, and cultural heritage.

Dialogue will be held in two important sessions

Shiv Shekhar Shukla said that there will be two main sessions in the conclave.

First Session: “Tourism as a Cultural Bridge: Branding Gwalior and Heartland of MP”
In this session, strategies to establish Gwalior's cultural heritage, classical music, and architecture on the global tourism map will be discussed.

Second Session: “Gwalior and Chambal Rising: Inbound Appeal through Heritage, Luxury and Experience”
This session will discuss new dimensions such as heritage, luxury stays, destination weddings, and experiential tourism. This session will be especially important for investors and tourism businesses.
