Sixteen “Additional District and Sessions Judges” (ADJs), or अपर जिला एवं सत्र न्यायाधीश, have been transferred.

For instance, an officer previously serving as Principal Judge at the Family Court in Rae Bareli has now been appointed to the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal in Lucknow (North).

Another officer, formerly the Presiding Officer of the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal in Unnao, has been designated as the In-charge of the Mirzapur Land Acquisition/Rehabilitation Authority. Numerous other judges and Special Court judges have had their postings and responsibilities altered across various districts and courts.

This order has been issued by the Registrar General of the High Court. Such transfers are a common practice to provide judicial officers with experience working in different districts and to ensure a balanced workload and responsibilities are distributed effectively.

Furthermore, this process helps to guarantee that judicial proceedings are conducted efficiently, impartially, and smoothly, with caseloads and judicial resources distributed optimally.

Judges are deployed to different courts – including Family Courts, Motor Accident Claims Tribunals, Land Acquisition Tribunals, or other tribunals – based on their experience and expertise in handling various types of cases.

If you or someone you know is involved in an ongoing legal case, it’s important to check whether a new judge or court has been assigned, as this could potentially impact the proceedings, timelines, and processes.
