Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu is unwell these days, leading to the cancellation of all his scheduled government programs for Saturday. On Thursday too, he remained at his official residence, Oak Over, in Shimla, resting and recuperating.
Shimla: Due to a deterioration in the health of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, all his scheduled programs have been cancelled until further notice. Doctors have advised the Chief Minister complete rest. His sudden ill health not only led to the halt of government programs but also prevented him from attending the wedding ceremony of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri's daughter.
Unwell for Two Days, Programs Halted
Chief Minister Sukhu has been unwell for the past two days. On Thursday, he remained at his official residence, Oak Over, in Shimla, resting and recuperating throughout the day. Following this, his programs for Friday and Saturday were also postponed. On Friday, CM Sukhu was scheduled to attend the Jal Tarang Josh Mahotsav-2025 in Bilaspur.
However, in light of his deteriorating health, this event was cancelled. Additionally, a program was scheduled for the Chief Minister to meet citizens at the Secretariat to hear their grievances, but that too could not be held.
Key Saturday Programs Also Cancelled
On Saturday, the Chief Minister had planned to attend two major events—
- A visit to the State Project Directorate of Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan in Shimla, and
- A trip to Haroli for the wedding ceremony of Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri's daughter
However, due to his ill health, the Chief Minister had to cancel both programs. The state government has officially confirmed this and stated that doctors are continuously monitoring his health.
