Imran Khan's 73rd Birthday Celebrated by PTI Supporters Amidst Government Crackdown

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supporters celebrated their leader Imran Khan's 73rd birthday on Sunday in Lahore and other regions. Imran Khan has been imprisoned in Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail for over two years on charges including corruption.

Lahore: Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, Imran Khan, turned 73 on Sunday. Imran Khan has been imprisoned in Rawalpindi's Adiala Jail for over two years on charges of corruption and other cases. Despite his incarceration, his supporters remain active, and on his birthday, the Pakistan government has prepared to intensify its crackdown.

Demand to Block X Account

The Pakistan government has demanded the blocking of Imran Khan's X account. The government states that anti-national and anti-military content is being posted on this account. Federal Minister of State for Law, Barrister Aqeel Malik, said that the government has contacted the company's management and will soon identify the network operating behind this account. He also informed that an investigation is underway to determine who is managing Imran Khan's account and posting the anti-national content.

PTI Supporters Held Rally on Birthday

On Imran Khan's 73rd birthday, his supporters held rallies in Lahore and other cities. Outside his residence in Zaman Park, Lahore, supporters chanted slogans and demonstrated in favor of Imran Khan. Police had increased security to prevent any untoward incidents.

Attendees of the rally were unable to march towards Imran's residence, but they organized a cake-cutting and the main ceremony. PTI leaders Salman Akram Raja, Shaukat Basra, and Rehaba Dar participated in the ceremony held in Lahore.

Imran Khan's Security and Condition in Jail

Imran Khan remains in continuous custody at Adiala Jail. The jail administration has enhanced his security arrangements. His health and mental condition are currently reported to be stable. Party leaders and supporters regularly gather outside the jail in his support and organize special events on occasions like his birthday.

Political Confrontation Between Government and Opposition

Following Imran Khan's arrest, the political confrontation between the Pakistan government and the PTI party has escalated. The government's actions—blocking the X account and investigating anti-national posts—are seen as an attempt to control the activities of Imran Khan and his supporters. Supporters consider this political persecution and are organizing large-scale rallies.

During the birthday celebrations, Imran Khan's supporters not only cut cakes but also lauded his leadership and achievements. PTI leaders stated that Imran Khan would continue his fight against corruption and injustice. Leaders present at the ceremony appealed to the public to remain loyal to their leader and his mission.
