After winning the series, Indian team captain Suryakumar Yadav expressed happiness over the victory, but he stated that one of his wishes could not be fulfilled. Surya also shared his thoughts on the team's performance, World Cup preparations, bowling combination, and the women's team's victory.
Final Match Left Incomplete Due to Rain
In the fifth T20 International match, Australia won the toss and invited India to bat first. India was scoring runs without losing any wickets in 4.5 overs when heavy rain began. Due to the wet pitch, the match could not be restarted. Consequently, the match was canceled.
Earlier, India made a b comeback despite being behind. After trailing 0-1 in the series, India displayed balanced play to level the series, and then gained the lead by winning the fourth match. This victory is commendable for all departments – bowling, batting, and fielding.

Suryakumar Yadav Said – "What We Wanted Did Not Happen"
After winning the series, Surya spoke about his unfulfilled wish. He said:
"We wanted the match to be completed, because players like to play. But it was not in our control. Whatever the weather, we must react accordingly. Credit should go to everyone for how the team made a comeback after being 0-1 down in the series. Batting, bowling, fielding — players cooperated in every department. It was a brilliant series."
Surya's Confidence in the Bowling Combination
Suryakumar specifically spoke about India's bowling. He said that the Indian team has bowlers who have the ability to make an impact in various conditions.
He said:
"Bumrah and Arshdeep are a b pair. Their pace and control put pressure on batsmen. In the spin bowling department, Axar and Varun consistently bowl with a plan. They know which ball to bowl in which situation. Washi (Washington Sundar) provided good support in the last match. He has played a lot of T20 cricket, and now his bowling has become a challenge for batsmen."
Strategy in World Cup Preparations
Suryakumar Yadav said that as an important part of World Cup preparations, India now has some matches ahead.
He said: "We will play against three b teams like Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand. Such matches provide the team an opportunity to select the right team before the World Cup. This will help understand which players can perform best under pressure situations."
