The Indian women’s cricket team defeated Hong Kong by 137 runs in the seventh match of the Women’s Asia Cup 2026 in Dubai. India scored 193 for 5 in 20 overs before Hong Kong were bowled out for 56 in 16.2 overs.
With the win over Hong Kong, India became the first team to reach the knockout stage of the Women’s Asia Cup 2026. India will face Pakistan in their next group-stage match on September 5, but the result will not affect India’s knockout position because their semifinal place is already secured.
India’s 137-run victory is also the team’s second-biggest win in T20 international cricket. India’s women’s team had earlier defeated Malaysia by 142 runs in 2018.
