Israeli Airstrike Hits Houthi Targets in Sanaa, Yemen, Amid Rising Red Sea Tensions

Israel conducted an airstrike on Houthi rebel targets in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen, resulting in six deaths and 86 injuries. The attack was in response to Houthi attacks.

Israel Fired Missiles: On Sunday, Israel launched a major airstrike in Sanaa, the capital of Yemen. This attack was in response to continuous missile and drone attacks by Houthi rebels. In this operation, the Israeli army targeted several key locations in the capital, including two power plants, a gas station, and a military complex.

According to Israel, these locations were being used by Houthi rebels to plan and execute attacks. The aim of the strike was to weaken the rebels' power and to stop the attacks on Israel.

Reason for the Attack and Houthi Rebels' Claim

Houthi rebels have been continuously attacking Israel with missiles and drones. On Friday, they claimed to have fired a ballistic missile towards Israel in support of Palestinians in Gaza. According to the Israeli army, this missile was divided into several parts, designed to explode upon impact with the ground. This was the first time such an attack had occurred from Yemen towards Israel. The Houthi rebels say they will continue their attacks in support of the people of Gaza and will not back down.

Impact of the Airstrike and Casualty Information

The Houthi Ministry of Health reported that the Israeli operation resulted in six deaths and 86 injuries. The injured have been admitted to hospitals. The sound of explosions echoed in many areas of the capital, Sanaa. Local people hid in their homes in fear. This attack is considered to be the largest so far, a direct warning to the Houthi rebels.

Rising Tensions in the Red Sea

After the war between Israel and Hamas began in Gaza in October 2023, Houthi rebels came out in support of anti-Israel groups. They have attacked cargo ships in the Red Sea, which has had a major impact on international trade. This area of the Red Sea is important for world trade, and many countries are expressing concern over the increasing violence.

Israel's Warning

Israel has made it clear that if the Houthi rebels do not stop their attacks, the response will be even tougher. Security experts believe that if this conflict escalates, it could affect not only the Middle East but the entire world. Serious threats could arise to trade, energy supply, and regional stability.
