Born on May 4, 1960, in Doraha, Ludhiana district, Punjab, Jaswinder Bhalla was known as the 'King of Comedy' in Punjabi films. In his film career spanning over three decades, he took comedy to new heights. His dialogues and signature catchphrases became popular with the audience. Bhalla started his career as a professor. However, his sense of humor and acting skills brought him directly into the entertainment world. In 1988, he stepped into films and soon won the hearts of the audience.

The name Jaswinder Bhalla immediately brings to mind the 'Carry On Jatta' series, in which he made people burst into laughter by playing the role of Advocate Dhillon.
