Police in Jhansi arrested two rickshaw robbers late Saturday night following an encounter. Police reported that upon receiving information, they cordoned off the area, whereupon the criminals began firing. In the police's retaliatory action, both criminals were injured and subsequently arrested. Police recovered the stolen money and other items from them. Police stated that several criminal cases are registered against the arrested individuals, and they are currently being interrogated.

On the night of October 12, at approximately 9:30 PM, e-rickshaw driver Ranjeet informed UP-112 that while he was passing near Khodan Puliya, two unknown youths snatched his e-rickshaw, mobile phone, and two hundred rupees in cash before fleeing. Based on this information, a case was registered at Sipri Bazar Police Station, and an investigation was initiated.
Police Action:
Considering the seriousness of the incident, the police immediately launched an intensive checking drive in the area. During this time, an informer provided information that both accused involved in the incident were present near the fields ahead of Sudamapuri. Believing the information, the Sipri Bazar Police Station team cordoned off the area. When the police attempted to apprehend the accused, they fired upon the police. In the police's retaliatory action, one criminal was injured, while the other managed to escape. Police arrested the injured criminal, and the search for the second accused is ongoing.
