The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has invited online applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Junior Engineers in the Public Works and Jal Shakti Departments. Please read the following details for complete information.

JKSSB JE Civil Recruitment 2025: The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released a notification for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (Civil) in 2025. This recruitment will be conducted for the Public Works (R&B) Department and the Jal Shakti Department. Position Details and Required Educational Qualifications

This recruitment process includes a total of 508 Junior Engineer (Civil) positions. Of these 508 positions, 150 are in the Public Works Department (R&B) and 358 are in the Jal Shakti Department. This recruitment is being conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB). If you wish to apply for these positions, you will need the following educational qualifications:

  • Diploma in Civil Engineering: For this recruitment, a three-year diploma in Civil Engineering from a government-recognized institution is required. This diploma is the first prerequisite for applying.

Age Limit

  • The maximum age limit for Open Merit (OM) and government service/contractual employees is set at 40 years. This means that if you are from Open Merit or are a government service/contractual employee, your age should not be more than 40 years.
  • The age limit for ex-servicemen is 48 years, so that they can also participate in this recruitment.
  • The age limit for physically handicapped candidates is set at 42 years. This is specifically set for those who are physically handicapped.
  • The age limit for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), ST-1, ST-2, RBA (RBA), ALC/IB (ALC/IB), Economically Weaker Section (EWS), and Other Backward Class (OBC) candidates is set at 43 years. This age limit gives these special categories slightly more time so that they can take advantage of this opportunity.

Residency Requirement
