Sikar: Here is an important update for devotees of Khatu Shyam Ji. If you are planning to visit Khatu Shyam Ji Temple on August 26th, please note that the temple doors will be closed on this day. The temple committee has clarified that darshan will be closed from 10 PM on August 25th to 5 PM on August 26th. During this time, a special adornment, service-worship, and tilak ceremony of Baba Shyam will be organized.
Devotees are requested to visit for darshan only after 5 PM on August 26th. This will not only avoid crowds and disorganization, but will also allow devotees to experience Baba's grand and peaceful adornment and worship without any hindrance.
Darshan Closed During Special Amavasya Event at the Temple
According to the temple committee, the tradition of grand adornment and tilak seva-puja of Khatu Shyam Ji is observed after every Amavasya (new moon). This tradition is for devotees to fully experience Baba Shyam's ritualistic form and grand adornment.
Minister Manvendra Singh Chauhan stated, “This special event is held after every Amavasya. The grand adornment and tilak seva-puja of Baba Shyam is completed with full devotion and reverence. Therefore, darshan for general devotees is temporarily suspended.”
During this event, the entire temple team is fully engaged in worship from morning to evening, and this is the reason for the temporary obstruction to darshan for devotees.
Appeal to Devotees from the Temple Administration
The Shri Shyam Mandir Committee has made a special request to devotees not to visit the temple from the night of August 25th to 5 PM on August 26th. If it is essential to have darshan, then please visit only after 5 PM.
Devotees are advised to check the official timings and notices of the temple before travelling. Unintentionally arriving at the wrong time may cause them to wait a long time and affect their darshan experience. The administration has said that this type of caution will ensure the convenience of all devotees.
Darshan Closed During Worship at the Temple
This is not a new rule. This tradition is also observed at the Khatu Shyam Ji temple after major festivals such as Diwali, Holi, Teej-Sinjara, Raksha Bandhan, Badi Gyaras, and the Falguni Lakhhi Mela.
Devotees are informed that darshan is temporarily closed during special worship and adornment. This tradition helps to control crowds at the temple for devotees and ensures that worship is completed smoothly.
