Patna: During the first phase of voting for the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav cast his vote and also shared a b message on social media regarding it. On Thursday morning, he cast his vote along with his wife and former Chief Minister Rabri Devi and son Tejashwi Yadav, and shared a photo showing the ink on his finger.

Along with the photo, Lalu Yadav posted on X (formerly Twitter), writing, "The roti on the griddle must be flipped constantly, otherwise it will burn. 20 years is too long! Now, for a youth government and a new Bihar, a Tejashwi government is absolutely essential." Through this tweet, he clearly hinted at his support for a change of power and emphasized the necessity of forming a government led by Tejashwi Yadav in the upcoming elections.

Security arrangements remained tight during polling, and special surveillance was maintained at several polling stations. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also urged voters to cast their ballots enthusiastically. He wrote on X, "Today marks the first phase of the festival of democracy in Bihar. I urge all voters in this phase of the Assembly elections to cast their votes with full enthusiasm. My special congratulations to all my young friends in the state who are voting for the first time. Remember: Vote first, then breakfast."

Political Stir

The Bihar Assembly Elections hold special significance this time. Over the past two decades, political conditions in the state have undergone several changes, and there is a significant expectation among the public for youth leadership and change. Lalu Yadav's tweet symbolically expresses this — just as it is necessary to flip a roti on time, otherwise it burns. He linked this to the context of change in Bihar and the need for a new government led by Tejashwi Yadav.

Political analysts say that Lalu Yadav's message is aimed at keeping his party and alliance active in the direction of voting. His style consistently generates enthusiasm and discussion in the election atmosphere.
