The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has suffered another major blow following the return of gangster Anmol Bishnoi from abroad. The Rajasthan AGTF arrested Pradeep Gurjar, a key member of the gang, from Gurugram. He had a bounty of 25,000 rupees on his head and had been absconding for a long time.
Jaipur: Notorious criminal Pradeep Gurjar, a resident of Kotputli district in Rajasthan, has finally been apprehended by the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF). The team conducted a special operation and arrested him from Gurugram, where he was constantly changing his hideouts to evade the police. This action is considered the second major setback for the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, especially after gangster Anmol Bishnoi was recently brought back to India from abroad.
Pradeep Gurjar was an active member of the Lawrence network, and a bounty of 25,000 rupees was declared for his capture. To apprehend him, the police maintained surveillance for several days, posing as security guards, after which the team finally managed to nab him.
Highway Gang Leader Arrested
Pradeep Gurjar, arrested in a major operation by the AGTF, has been identified by the police as the leader of the notorious 6161 gang active on the highways. According to Additional Director General of Police Dinesh MN, this gang has long been infamous for extorting money by threatening hotel owners along the highways. Pradeep Gurjar was constantly in contact with the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, and his activities in the region had spread panic among traders. This arrest by the AGTF is considered a significant blow to organized crime and the Lawrence network in Rajasthan.
Gang Network Spread from Bhilwara
The roots of the 6161 gang originated with Hari Tanwar in Bhilwara and extended to Vinod Mandali. After Mandali's murder, Pradeep Gurjar took over the command. Pradeep was acting as a reliable link for Lawrence Bishnoi's associate Sachin Thapan and was strengthening the network by recruiting youth from Kotputli, Behror, Bansur, Bhilwara, and Gurugram. Police are now also investigating his connections with notorious criminal Harry Boxer, who is wanted in serious cases across several states.

Gang's Modus Operandi for Spreading Terror
The 6161 gang, active on the highways, would suddenly open fire to intimidate hotel owners and then demand extortion money by sending threatening notes. This modus operandi continuously spread terror among traders in the area, indicating the gang's b grip and intimidation.
Gang leader Pradeep Gurjar was wanted in over three dozen serious cases, including crimes like extortion, bank robbery, dacoity, murder, and attempted murder. For absconding in seven cases, the SP Kotputli had announced a reward of 25,000 rupees for his capture, which proved to be a crucial motivator for the police in apprehending him.
AGTF's Precise Operation
Under the directions of ADG Dinesh MN, the AGTF devised a special operation led by Inspector Ram Singh. The team activated its informer network and scoured through approximately 150 CCTV footages to track the accused's location to a luxury society in the Kherkidaula police station area of Gurugram. This operation was highly challenging from the outset.
The team strategically deployed personnel at the main entry points of the society, and Head Constable Sudhir gathered intelligence on every movement from within by posing as a security guard. At the opportune moment, the AGTF raided the flat and apprehended Pradeep without any harm. Following his arrest, he has been brought to Kotputli, where several more significant revelations are expected during interrogation.
