Manish Kashyap to join Jan Suraaj Party in Patna today. Will take membership in the presence of Prashant Kishor and Uday Singh. Will announce to contest the assembly elections from Chanpatiya seat.
Bihar Election: Bihar's well-known YouTuber and social activist Manish Kashyap is now set to advance his political journey with the Jan Suraaj party led by Prashant Kishor. Today, i.e., July 7, he will officially become a member of Jan Suraaj during the Digital Warrior Conclave program held at Bapu Auditorium in Patna.
This was confirmed by Manish Kashyap himself on his social media platform X (formerly Twitter) by sharing photos with Prashant Kishor and Uday Singh, the National President of Jan Suraaj. In his post, he wrote, "We will ignite extinguished hopes, we will bring light to every home... We will erase the pain of migration, we will rebuild a new Bihar."
Manish has distanced himself from the BJP
On June 8, Manish Kashyap announced through a Facebook Live that he is no longer an active member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He had joined the BJP just before the last Lok Sabha elections, but distanced himself from the party within a few months. Since leaving the BJP, there has been much speculation about his next political move, which has now come to an end.
Why Manish Kashyap joined Jan Suraaj
Manish has made it clear that his aim is to give a new direction to Bihar and fight for the problems of the common people at the grassroots level. He has been raising issues like migration, unemployment, and corruption through social media for a long time. Prashant Kishor's party, Jan Suraaj, is also focusing on these issues, which is why their ideologies aligned.
Around 10,000 people have been invited to this program organized by Jan Suraaj. This event is also an opportunity to honor the party's digital warriors and showcase organizational strength for the upcoming assembly elections.
Preparation to contest elections from Chanpatiya
Tripurari Kumar Tiwari, also known as Manish Kashyap, has already indicated that he will contest the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections from the Chanpatiya Assembly seat. He has recently increased his activity in the Chanpatiya region and has started raising local issues.
Recently, he showed the flaws in the under-construction road of Chanpatiya to the officials of the National Highway Authority of India and demanded improvements within seven days. This activity confirms his electoral intentions.
Tried his hand in the electoral arena in 2020 as well
Manish Kashyap had also contested the 2020 assembly elections as an independent candidate from the Chanpatiya seat. He received over nine thousand votes at that time. Although he did not win, the number of votes he received certainly indicated his social influence and public support.
The Chanpatiya assembly seat is considered a bhold of the NDA and especially the BJP. In such a situation, contesting elections from this seat again will be challenging for Manish, but after joining Jan Suraaj, he will also have an organized platform and strategic support.
