Prominent YouTuber Manish Kashyap Resigns from BJP
Manish Kashyap, a well-known YouTuber and social activist from Bihar, has resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He stated that he was unable to effectively raise the concerns of the people while within the party and will now work independently in the public interest.
Bihar Politics: Kashyap explained that his inability to protect himself and effectively address public issues within the BJP led to his resignation. He will now explore a new platform or political path, continuing his fight for Bihar's issues.
Resignation Announced on Facebook Live
On Sunday, Manish Kashyap announced his resignation from the BJP via Facebook Live. He stated, "I was not an active member of the BJP. If I couldn't protect myself within the party, how could I help the people? Now, I will voice my opinions from a new platform."
Hints at Contesting Elections
During his live broadcast, Kashyap asked his viewers to suggest from which constituency he should contest the assembly elections. He said, "Tell me, from which area should I contest the elections? From which party, or independently? My fight is not against any individual but against the system."
Dissatisfaction with the Healthcare System
Kashyap leveled serious allegations against Bihar's Health Minister, Mangal Pandey. He claimed that timely intervention by the minister could have prevented the death of a young girl in Muzaffarpur. He accused the health department of widespread corruption and promised to reveal evidence soon. He added, "While in the BJP, I raised many issues, but the party never supported me. Now, I will independently become the voice of the people."
Decision Based on Public Opinion
Kashyap stated that he visited various regions of Bihar, interacting with the people. He received consistent advice to work independently, outside the party. He said, "I held meetings in 20-25 places, and everywhere people said the party didn't support you. Come out and fight for the people."
'Brand Bihar' Initiative
Kashyap hinted at a potential new political initiative focused on 'Brand Bihar'. He mentioned considering whether to create a new platform or join an existing organization. He stated, "I have to fight for Bihar, stop migration, and give a voice to the youth."
Mixed Reactions to the Resignation
During his Facebook Live session, Kashyap said, "Some people will be happy with this decision, some sad. But I apologize with folded hands to those who are hurt. Even within the party, I couldn't voice my opinions. This decision was taken out of necessity."
