Astonishing Case: A minor, concealed in a burqa, was apprehended at Prayagraj Junction while being deboarded from a train (Mahabodhi Express), revealing she was a victim of a honey trap. It has emerged that a Pakistani youth was behind her entrapment.
Background Story: The minor hails from Nawada (Bihar) and a missing person report had already been filed.
She befriended a girl from Punjab on Instagram, who then connected her with a Pakistani youth. The youth promised to bring her to Pakistan and assured her of a better life abroad.
How She Was Caught: The minor left her home, donned a burqa, and headed towards Delhi. Nawada police traced her location and immediately informed the RPF (Railway Protection Force). During boarding the train, an RPF female constable identified her. The RPF confirmed her identity to her family via a video call. The minor revealed that her mobile contained suspicious chats and Pakistan-based numbers. Taking the matter seriously, intelligence agencies are investigating whether this was an act of terrorist conspiracy or a personal deceit.
They are also thoroughly examining mobile data, chat history, and the bank accounts of the friend from Punjab. Nawada police are also cooperating in this investigation.
