Siraj took 9 wickets in the fifth and final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy against England, averaging 21.11. On the final day of the last Test, Siraj's spectacular spell led Team India to victory. This performance earned him the Player of the Match award. Team India played only one match in August, and in that match, Siraj proved his mettle.
Although Jasprit Bumrah was rested, Siraj took on full responsibility and delivered an excellent bowling performance. Despite the challenges of fast bowling, he played consecutive matches throughout the series without tiring and took crucial wickets.
Nomination for ICC Player of the Month
