On the fourth day, he claimed his second wicket by getting Shai Hope out, thereby achieving the feat of becoming the leading Test wicket-taker this year.

Siraj has taken 37 wickets in 15 innings across 8 Test matches so far in the year 2025. He surpassed Zimbabwe's Blessing Muzarabani (36 wickets) to secure the top spot.

Siraj Far Ahead of Bumrah

Despite Siraj's brilliant bowling in the Delhi Test, India's premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah is significantly behind Siraj in this list. Bumrah has only managed 22 wickets this year and is not included in the top 5. In comparison, Australia's Mitchell Starc (29 wickets) and Nathan Lyon (24 wickets) are at the top positions.
