A newly married woman died under suspicious circumstances in Bihar's Munger district just two months after her wedding. After receiving information about the incident, her father swam across a river to reach her marital home due to the lack of an immediate means of transport. On reaching the house, he found his daughter's body. The woman's family has alleged that she was strangled to death by her in-laws. Police have taken the body into custody, sent it for post-mortem examination, and launched an investigation.

According to family members, the woman was married around two months ago in accordance with customary rituals. They said everything appeared normal initially, but later they began receiving complaints of disputes and alleged harassment at her marital home. On the day of the incident, the family was informed of her death. As there was no immediate means of reaching the village, her father swam across the river to save time and reach her residence.

Upon arriving, he found his daughter's body, after which the family was overcome with grief. The woman's family has alleged that she was strangled and that an attempt was made to portray the incident differently. They have demanded strict action against those responsible.

After receiving information about the incident, local police reached the spot, inspected the scene, collected necessary evidence, and sent the body for post-mortem examination. Officials said the actual cause of death can be confirmed only after the post-mortem report and forensic examination.

Police have begun questioning the deceased woman's family members, neighbours, and her in-laws. They are also investigating whether there was any family dispute, dowry-related harassment, or any other reason before the incident. If evidence establishes the involvement of any individual, legal action will be taken in accordance with the law.

As the marriage had taken place only two months ago, police are also examining the circumstances following the marriage and the applicable legal provisions. Mobile call records, statements of family members, and other technical evidence have also been included in the investigation.

Following the incident, there is grief and anger in the village. Local residents have demanded a fair investigation and appealed for the early arrest of those found responsible. The administration has assured the family that the investigation will be conducted fairly and transparently.

Police are currently investigating the case from all possible angles. The allegation of death by strangulation has been made by the deceased woman's family and is yet to be confirmed through the investigation and the post-mortem report. The final conclusion will be based on scientific evidence and the judicial process.
