Aligarh police have registered an FIR after Nandprakash Navman, son of former BJP MLA late Krishna Kumar Navman, alleged that his name and identity were misused to send a fabricated complaint to the Chief Minister. Nandprakash said neither he nor any member of his family had submitted such a complaint. The case was registered at Bannadevi police station following an order from the Director General of Police, and an investigation has begun.

According to Nandprakash, he learned about the alleged complaint through the office of the SDM Kol. He subsequently approached the DGP and requested an investigation into the matter. He said the letter sent to the Chief Minister in his name contained allegations and demands with which he had no connection.

Nandprakash said he became aware of the matter after a copy of the complaint was obtained under the Right to Information Act. The alleged complaint contained serious allegations against people associated with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). It reportedly sought the removal from posts of alleged land mafia members and corrupt individuals associated with the organisation and demanded legal action against them. It also sought an investigation into the alleged embezzlement of around ₹42 lakh in Guru Dakshina.

Nandprakash alleged that he had not sent any such complaint to the Chief Minister. He said an unidentified person used his identity to prepare the complaint and send it through the government system. He expressed apprehension that his name may have been used for a political or personal purpose.

The former MLA's son has sought an impartial and high-level investigation. He said preparing a fake complaint by using another person's name and identity was a serious matter. According to him, the investigation should establish who prepared the complaint, through which medium it was sent and what the purpose behind it was.

In his application, Nandprakash also alleged that false and fabricated complaints had previously been made against him and members of his family. He linked the allegations to political rivalry and said attempts had been made to continuously harass his family. These allegations, however, can be established only after the police investigation.

The name of former MLA Krishna Kumar Navman has also emerged in the matter. Nandprakash alleged that complaints had previously been made against his father and other family members as well. Referring to the deaths of his father and his brother Satya Prakash Navman, he made serious allegations and said that repeated complaints, alleged harassment and mental pressure had affected the family. The factual position on these allegations will also become clear after the police investigation.

As part of the investigation into the alleged fake complaint, police will examine the complaint letter and seek to establish who actually prepared it. The investigation may also cover the manner in which the complaint was sent, the documents used, details relating to the name and identity and the role of the persons concerned.

Police may also examine the source of the allegations contained in the complaint. If it was sent through an online medium, its digital records could be examined. If it was sent through an office or by post, the relevant documents and records may also be checked.

Following the FIR based on Nandprakash's complaint, the matter has entered the formal legal investigation process. Bannadevi police have confirmed registration of the case and begun the investigation. Police are seeking to establish who may have been behind the complaint and how Nandprakash's identity was used to prepare it.

The allegation that a fake complaint was made against BJP and RSS-linked leaders is also part of the matter. However, the allegations made against any individual or group in the complaint remain subject to investigation. Registration of an FIR does not establish the allegations as true. The further position will depend on the police investigation and available evidence.

Nandprakash has also sought police protection for his family. He said he and his family had faced difficulties because of repeated alleged fake complaints. He has asked the administration to take the matter seriously, identify the person or persons responsible and take action against them.

The former MLA's son also said that his son got married in 2022 and is living with his son and daughter-in-law in Gautam Buddh Nagar. After learning that a complaint had been sent in his name from Aligarh, he asked police to investigate the matter fully.

The central question in the case is who used Nandprakash Navman's name. If the police investigation establishes that someone deliberately used his identity to prepare fake documents and send them to government officials, action can be taken under the law.

If the investigation reveals an element of political dispute or personal rivalry, police may also pursue that line of inquiry. Police may question people connected with the individuals or organisations named in the allegations to determine whether there was a personal or political reason behind the alleged complaint.

The case has also generated discussion at the political and social levels in Aligarh. The allegations made by the former BJP MLA's son have brought the matter into focus. Police are now tasked with determining through an impartial investigation who prepared the alleged fake complaint and what purpose was behind sending it to the Chief Minister.

For now, Bannadevi police have registered the FIR and started the investigation. Police will examine the documents, complaint letter and related records. The allegations made by Nandprakash will also be verified during the investigation. If the allegations are established, action may be taken against those allegedly responsible for preparing the fake complaint and misusing his identity.

The investigation will determine who was behind the alleged complaint, what was the basis for the allegations contained in it and for what purpose Nandprakash's identity was used. The FIR was registered after the DGP's order, formally initiating the investigation into the matter.
