Nikki Murder Case 2025: A new revelation has emerged in the Nikki murder case in the Kasna Kotwali area of Greater Noida. According to reports, the accused husband, Vipin, was unhappy with his wife Nikki running a boutique and his sister-in-law, Kanchan, running a beauty parlor. Furthermore, he did not like both sisters using Instagram. The accused husband used to quarrel with Nikki frequently, which caused tension in their marital and family life.
When Vipin absconded, the police called the accused's family members to the police station. Sonu Bhati, a resident of Khanpur village, stated that Vipin is the son of his friend's aunt in the village, meaning Vipin is a distant relative of his family. According to Sonu, the family's business is doing well. Vipin's elder brother, Rohit, works in a company and drives a car, while Vipin used to sit in the shop with his father and manage the business.
Dispute Between Vipin and His In-Laws
According to reports, Vipin did not like his wife and sister-in-law using Instagram accounts. Both sisters were fond of making reels on social media, on which people in the community made vulgar comments. Even before the incident, there were frequent disputes over both sisters' accounts. Kanchan Bhati, who is a makeover artist, operates an Instagram account called Kanchan Makeover, which has 49.5 thousand followers.
On this account, she also shared videos of the in-laws' assault. At the time of the incident, Vipin and his father were outside the house, while his mother-in-law, Daya, had gone to get milk.
Nikki Ran Her Boutique and Kanchan Ran a Beauty Parlor
Nikki ran her boutique, and Kanchan ran a beauty parlor. It is alleged that Vipin and his family were constantly arguing about this boutique and parlor. Last year, a video of Nikki being assaulted went viral, after which a panchayat (village council) was held, and the boutique was closed down. But this time too, both sisters planned to run the boutique and parlor, which became a cause of dispute.
Nikki's elder sister, Kanchan, says that she raised her voice through social media for her sister's rights. Vulgar comments were made in the community about both sisters posting too much on Instagram, which increased the conflict.
The Tragic Incident of Murder
Nikki and Kanchan were married to Vipin and Rohit Bhati respectively in a wedding held in Sirsa village in the Dadri police station area of Greater Noida. During the wedding, a Scorpio car and other items were given, but since then, the in-laws have been demanding an additional dowry of 3.5 million rupees. Due to family disputes, both sisters had to face repeated assaults. Agreements were reached through panchayats several times, but the accused refused to accept them.
On Thursday evening, at around 5:30 PM, Kanchan reported that her mother-in-law, Daya, and brother-in-law, Vipin, together committed atrocities against her sister Nikki. It is alleged that Daya took a flammable substance in her hand, and Vipin poured it on Nikki. Along with this, Nikki was attacked on the neck. Nikki was severely burnt. When Kanchan protested against the incident, she was also assaulted. During this time, Kanchan recorded a video of the incident. Nikki was taken to Fortis Hospital for treatment and later to Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi, but she died due to serious injuries.
