Nitish Kumar Aims to Create 1 Crore Jobs in Bihar by 2030

Nitish Kumar sets a target of providing jobs to 1 crore youth in Bihar from 2025 to 2030. Efforts will be made in the government, private, and industrial sectors to generate employment. Emphasis will also be placed on skill development.

Bihar Election: Ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has made an important announcement regarding employment. He has stated that the government will provide job and employment opportunities to one crore youth in the next five years, i.e., from 2025 to 2030. This target is double the previously set promise of 50 lakh jobs. Nitish Kumar said that the state government will focus not only on government jobs but also on increasing employment opportunities in the private and industrial sectors.

Focus on both government and private sectors

The Chief Minister informed that a high-level committee is being formed to generate employment, which will oversee the planning and implementation of the scheme. This committee will be responsible for ensuring that youth receive timely employment opportunities in various sectors. He also said that private companies and industrial units will be attracted to invest in Bihar to create more and more jobs.

Skill development to be promoted

The government has already started providing skill development training to the youth under the 'Saat Nischay Yojana'. The Chief Minister clarified that in the coming time, this scheme will be made more comprehensive so that every youth can get an opportunity for employment or self-employment according to their interest and qualification. Along with this, under a new initiative, the 'Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University' will be established in the state, which will specialize in technical and vocational education.

Track record until 2020

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also mentioned the progress of previous schemes. He stated that from 2005 to 2020, more than 8 lakh youth were given government jobs in the state. After this, under 'Saat Nischay-2' in 2020, a target of 10 lakh government jobs and 10 lakh other employments was set. This target was later revised to 12 lakh government jobs and 38 lakh employment, i.e., a total of 50 lakh opportunities. Nitish Kumar claimed that this target will be achieved on time.

New target set from 2025 to 2030

Now, taking the next step in this direction, the government has set a new and bigger target of providing jobs and employment to one crore youth from 2025 to 2030. The Chief Minister says that the participation of youth is necessary for the development of Bihar and the government is working seriously in this direction.

Monitoring of every sector related to employment will be done

Under the new strategy, there will be no reliance on government appointments only, but opportunities will also be provided to the youth in self-employment, private investment, startups, construction, and the technical sector. For this, progress will be monitored in each sector and necessary changes will be made from time to time.

Employment-friendly environment to be created in the state

The government is also trying to make Bihar an attractive state for investment so that new industries are established and the number of jobs increases rapidly. For this, work will also be done on necessary infrastructure such as electricity, roads, transportation, and education.
