North Korea launched missiles from its eastern coast near Wonsan, which traveled approximately 240 kilometers. The launches were monitored by South Korea and were conducted following a previous failed test.
According to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff, the missile launches were detected under ongoing security surveillance and regional monitoring. In an earlier test, a ballistic missile disappeared from radar during the initial phase of launch, indicating a failure.
The launches took place on Monday, with missiles moving toward South Korean maritime areas, and were recorded by South Korea’s military.

North Korea stated that it has no intention of improving relations with South Korea. Vice Minister Jang Kum Chol said South Korea would remain a hostile adversary and indicated a firm response to recent developments.
Kim Jong Un also gave no positive indication regarding dialogue with the United States and South Korea. The position follows previous diplomatic efforts that did not succeed and aligns with North Korea’s policy of expanding its nuclear weapons arsenal.
