The Chief Minister clarified that law and order and security matters currently fall under the purview of the central government and the Lieutenant Governor. He stated that the overall responsibility for security during the Amarnath Yatra rests with Raj Bhavan and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha. The Jammu and Kashmir Police and central security agencies, operating under the Union Home Ministry, are responsible for maintaining security.
