Raju's life in Chalsa village, Patna, has become a topic of discussion because both of his marriages ended. Both times, his wives eloped with their lovers, and the second wife also took jewelry and ornaments. The police are investigating the matter.
Patna: The life of 40-year-old Raju Kumar from Dhanuki Chalsa village, under Parsa Bazaar Police Station in Patna district, Bihar, has recently become a topic of discussion among the villagers. While even one failed marriage is sometimes considered surprising, the sequential collapse of both of Raju's marriages and both wives eloping with their lovers has become a major talking point in the village.
Shattered Dreams of a Little Girl and Her Father
Raju Kumar's first marriage took place several years ago. Initially, everything seemed normal and happy, but within a few years, cracks began to appear in the relationship. Raju's first wife came into contact with another young man and one day suddenly left home with her lover.
Although this incident brought a storm into Raju's home, his wife left their daughter with Raju. Raju still lives with his daughter, and according to villagers, she has become his greatest support in life.
New Hope from a Second Marriage
After the failure of his first marriage, Raju and his family believed that a second marriage would stabilize his life. With this hope, Raju married a 22-year-old woman from Vaishali district with much fanfare on July 11, 2025.
However, there was a significant age difference between the husband and wife in this marriage. Initially, the family members thought that this difference would diminish over time and the relationship would strengthen. But soon, problems began to emerge in this new marriage as well.
Second Wife Also Eloped with Her Lover
On the night of September 16, the same scene that occurred during his first marriage was repeated at Raju's house. According to the family, a sudden sound of the door was heard at night. Raju's sister went out and saw the new bride leaving with a young man on a motorcycle.
As she left, she also took the household's gold jewelry and ornaments. The family stated that this included gold earrings, studs, anklets, and other valuable items. An FIR has been lodged at Parsa Bazaar Police Station in this matter, and the police have initiated an investigation.
Raju's Controversial Image and Fading Hopes for Relationships
Villagers say that Raju works in land buying and selling and has been involved in disputes multiple times. Some believe that his controversial image, the significant age difference, and a lack of mutual understanding in the marriages were the main reasons for the failure of both unions.
Raju's relatives and villagers are now giving mixed reactions to this incident. Some are appreciating his courage to remain stable for his daughter, while others are raising accusations and questions against him, wondering if his behavior and decisions forced both wives to elope.
Police Engaged in Investigation
Considering the seriousness of the matter, the Parsa Bazaar Police Station has initiated an investigation. The Station House Officer stated that efforts are being made to apprehend the culprits soon and address Raju's losses. He appealed to the family and villagers to refrain from spreading rumors and await the legal process.
Police officials are also stating that such incidents are serious from social and psychological perspectives, and therefore, society should not take them lightly. The story of Raju's two consecutive failed marriages has now become a widely discussed topic among the people of Patna district.
