Patna Metro Launch Delayed: Service to Begin Next Month After Safety Inspection

Patna residents will have to wait a little longer for the metro service. Bihar government minister Jivesh Mishra has informed that the operation of the Patna Metro, which was earlier scheduled to start from August 15, will now begin next month with a delay of 15 to 20 days.

Patna Metro: Bihar government minister Jivesh Mishra has given an important update regarding the Patna Metro project. He said that the metro service was to start from August 15, but during the inspection by the security officers of the railway department, some issues related to safety standards came to light, due to which its inauguration had to be postponed. The minister clarified that the government will not compromise on the safety of the public, and this is the main reason for the delay.

Now the metro service will start next month with a delay of 15 to 20 days, in which the first route will be started. He expressed confidence that Patna will achieve the status of a metro city next month.

Priority to Safety

Minister Jivesh Mishra clarified that "We cannot compromise on safety. Public safety is our priority." During the inspection, the need to pay attention to some technical points was mentioned, due to which the inauguration had to be postponed. He assured that despite a slight delay from the scheduled time, Patna will become a metro city next month and the first route will be started. This project is going to bring a big change in the public transport of the city and will help in reducing traffic pressure.

Which Route Will Be Started in the First Phase?

Under the Patna Metro project, the primary route will be started in the first phase. This route will connect the important places of the city and will provide convenience to thousands of passengers daily. The technically prepared route will be opened for passengers only after testing it on all safety standards. While sharing the information of Patna Metro, Jivesh Mishra also commented on Rahul Gandhi's padyatra.

He said that Rahul Gandhi has always benefited us whenever he has come to Bihar. Last time also he strengthened us and left. If he comes again, he will strengthen us more and leave. Mishra questioned that Rahul Gandhi should first decide with Tejashwi Yadav who will be the face of the Chief Minister. He asked, is Congress a B-team of RJD? If Tejashwi is the contender for the post of CM, then why is Rahul Gandhi not speaking openly?

Reaction to SIR and Supreme Court's Decision

Reacting to the Supreme Court's comment related to Bihar SIR, Mishra said that everyone should respect the decision of the court. He said that Tejashwi Yadav and Rahul Gandhi should also accept it. He alleged that Rahul Gandhi keeps the book of the Constitution in his pocket, but does not follow it.

Citing Article 326 of the Constitution, Mishra said that this article clearly states that SIR is necessary from time to time, because it only allows citizens of India to participate in elections. Therefore, no one should have any objection to it.
